Hey guys, my name is Abbi and welcome to my first blog post! I’m really excited about this new venture because it’s something I have thought about for a while, but didn’t have the balls courage to pursue it. There are so many great blogs out there at the moment and I hope I can bring my own flavour to the mix.

The reason why I wanted to start blogging is that I am passionate about certain subjects and I wanted to share my thoughts and ideas on them. Thinking of the niche for this blog was difficult, because I didn’t want it to be all over the place, but I decided my thoughts aren’t one-dimensional therefore my blog will reflect this.

The kind of topics I plan to cover in the blog are personal development, relationships with others, following your passion, travel, health and beauty, and style. I am in no way an expert in any of these areas! As I said, I am just seeking the opportunity to share my opinion and experiences with people and having people share theirs also. Since I could remember, I’ve thrived from interacting with others. Those who know me well, know I love a good old chin wag, but at the same time know I also love to ask questions and listen to other people’s experiences in life. I love making friends and forming relationships wherever I go. Blogging is giving me the opportunity to do so on an even grander scale!

Okay, so a little about myself. I’m a Christian, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a pharmacist as well as many other titles. I currently reside in the South East of England. My family are my everything, without them I don’t know where I would be. I was born in Nigeria and moved to England at a very young age with my family (shout out to my fellow Edo peeps out there! Don’t let the married surname fool you ha!). I have been back to Nigeria three times since we moved, however not since 2002! I’m praying I will have the opportunity to go again in the near future. I love to travel!! I have been very fortunate and blessed to have visited a number of countries and I hope that only increases. I have a very epic trip planned this year so watched this space…

Music sets my soul on fire and I have quite an eclectic taste. I love everything from afrobeats, hip hop/rap and R&B to bits of country, dance and soft rock. It just depends on what mood I’m in, if I’m heading out to the club or chilling in my PJ’s. I’m also obsessed with reading and it always excites me thinking about the next book I’m going to read. When the final instalment of the Harry Potter series was released, my friend dropped it off at my house at just gone midnight (there was no way my African mother was going to let me queue in the middle of the night for a book!), and I literally did not sleep, eat or bathe until I finished that book. I wish I had more time to read but I make a conscious effort to find the time and I’m always so pleased that I do.

Having ambition and goals in life are really important to me. Achieving some of my goals has given me some of the best highs and through self-motivation, commitment and hard work, I really believe any dream can be brought to reality. I’m a very positive person, which has helped me to pick myself up and keep going when life sometimes rears its ugly head.

There is so much more I could say but I’ve waffled on enough. Thank you for taking the time out to read this post and hopefully you’ll enjoy what’s to come.

Please feel free to comment and share. I love interacting so will definitely respond.
